This seventeenth-century world map by Willem Blaeu is a masterpiece of cartography and artistry—engraved with meticulous detail and hand-coloured in period style, it captures both the geography and imagination of an era when the known world still held mystery. The ornate border features allegorical suns and moons, the five known planets, the four elements, the seasons, and seven vignettes of the ancient wonders, essentially a complete cosmology framed around the continents.

Printed on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, this map print will hold its colours for decades without fading. Available in four sizes—from A4 right up to A1—you can tuck it into a study corner or let it command an entire wall. If you'd like to explore more treasures from centuries past, browse our vintage map prints collection.

Want it ready to hang straight away? Select one of our solid wood frames—black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate—at checkout and it arrives glazed and wall-ready. Dispatched from our Newcastle upon Tyne workshop with free UK delivery over £60, this cosmological vision turns any room into a cabinet of Renaissance wonder.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
