This 1869 map of New York City captures a transformative moment in urban expansion, rendered with the cartographic detail and hand-coloured charm of a bygone era. Street layouts, landmarks and the sprawling metropolitan landscape emerge with surprising clarity—the kind of print that rewards lingering study and sparks conversation about how the city has evolved.

We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the colours remain vibrant for decades without fading. Six sizes are available, from A4 through to 70x100cm, giving you the flexibility to frame it as an intimate desktop piece or a commanding wall focal point.

Pair it with one of our solid wood frames—black, white, natural oak or gold ornate—and it arrives glazed and ready to hang. Browse more vintage map prints in our collection, or keep it unframed to let the historical detail take centre stage. Whether you're mapping the layers of Manhattan's past or seeking a conversation piece for a home office, this particular print speaks to the enduring allure of urban geography frozen in time.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
