This Hasui Kawase woodblock print captures a serene moment on the Road to Nikko, rendered in the artist's signature restrained palette of soft blues, greys and muted greens. The composition draws you along a winding path through a Japanese landscape, with careful attention to atmospheric perspective and the play of light across the scene. It's a masterclass in simplicity and mood.

Printed on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks and professional giclée techniques, this piece holds its subtlety and detail across all our sizes. From A4 up to our largest format, the print maintains the contemplative quality that makes Kawase's work so enduring. Available unframed, or paired with a solid wood frame in black, white, natural oak or gold ornate finishes.

It suits bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces equally well—the kind of print that works as a standalone focal point or as part of a gallery wall arrangement. Rolled and posted from Newcastle, it arrives ready to frame or hang.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
