This snow-dusted temple print by Hasui Kawase captures Kiyomizu Hall in Ueno with a quietness that feels almost meditative—soft greys and whites, delicate composition, the kind of scene that rewards a proper look. It's the antidote to loud walls. Originally a 1950s woodblock artwork, we've reproduced it using professional giclée printing on 230gsm fine art paper with archival pigment inks, so the subtle details remain crisp and fade-resistant for decades.

Choose from seven sizes: A4, A3, A2, A1, 50x70cm, 70x100cm, or 100x150cm. The print arrives rolled in a protective tube and ready to display unframed, or pair it with one of our solid wood frames—black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate—if you'd prefer something finished and wall-ready straight away. We've been selling Japanese prints and woodblock art online for over ten years from our Newcastle workshop, and this remains a perennial favourite among collectors.

Kawase's work suits minimal, understated spaces beautifully, though this one feels equally at home in a bedroom or hallway where you want to create a moment of calm. Hung above a sideboard or alone on a feature wall, it brings genuine warmth without trying—the kind of image that draws you back repeatedly without ever demanding attention.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
