Van Gogh's pencil sketches rarely receive the credit they deserve, yet this study for his iconic Café Terrace captures something raw and unfiltered that even his finished paintings sometimes miss. Rendered directly from his hand with characteristic intensity, the composition feels intimate and immediate—exactly as it left his sketchbook. It's the kind of work that rewards close looking.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so it'll hold its character for decades. Available in four sizes from A4 up to A1, it works equally well as a standalone piece or as part of a bedroom wall art arrangement. Prefer it ready to hang? Choose from solid wood frames in black, white, natural oak or gold ornate finishes, all glazed and dispatched from our Newcastle studio.

There's a quiet confidence in displaying a sketch over a polished work—it signals you know what you like without needing the fanfare. Whether you're building a collection of famous art prints or seeking a single piece with genuine substance, this one belongs on a wall where it'll spark genuine conversation rather than simply fill space.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
