This Japanese art print captures one of Hasui Kawase's most serene morning scenes, rendered in the Shin-Hanga style that made him master of capturing Japan's delicate seasonal landscapes. Morning at Tsutanuma distils that contemplative quality into a single composition—mist, water, and minimal detail working together to create something quietly powerful rather than ornate.

We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the soft tones and subtle gradations stay true for decades. The matte finish means no glare stealing focus from the composition itself—just the print, the subject, and your wall. It arrives rolled and protected, ready to frame or display however you prefer.

Whether you're drawn to vintage travel and landscape posters or seeking something contemplative for a bedroom or study space, this print works across scales from A4 right up to A1. After over a decade of curating and printing wall art here in Newcastle, we've learnt that Japanese woodblock prints don't shout—they settle into a room and deepen it.

This is the kind of print that rewards close looking: mist rather than detail, suggestion rather than statement.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
