This 1782 map of Europe captures a pivotal moment in history, when borders were fluid and empires still dominated the continent. Janvier's cartography is rendered with the hand-coloured detail and distinctive warmth that only period maps possess—the kind of print that rewards close inspection, with each region carrying its own subtle palette and character.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the colours stay true and fade-resistant for decades. Available across our full range of sizes—from A4 up to 70x100cm—you can tuck it into a corner or make it the focal point of a room. The detail stays crisp and true no matter which size you choose.

Display it unframed for a gallery feel, or pair it with one of our solid wood frames in black, natural oak, white or gold ornate finishes. Browse our collection of vintage cartography prints for other historical maps that layer beautifully together. Based in Newcastle and printing wall art for over a decade, we dispatch each map rolled safely in a protective tube with free UK delivery on orders over £60. This one carries real historical gravitas whether hung alone or as the centrepiece of a collected gallery wall.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
