This eel and fish illustration captures the delicate linework and muted palette of Russian artist Elena Pavlovna Gertik's original study. Her work, first published in celebrated children's books and colouring albums, has a timeless quality that appeals equally to adults and younger eyes alike. The intricate detail feels both scientifically curious and gently decorative, lending a naturalistic charm to any room.

Printed on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, the colours will remain fade-resistant for decades. Choose from A4, A3, A2, A1, or larger sizes to suit your space, and we'll dispatch it rolled in a protective tube from our Newcastle base. If you'd like it ready to hang, simply select one of our solid wood frames—available in black, white, natural oak, and gold ornate finishes—at checkout.

The aquatic theme makes this perfect for bathroom and kitchen wall art, though it's equally suited to a bedroom, study, or as part of a gallery of natural history pieces. Browse more creatures from our collection of vintage animal prints to build your own cabinet of curiosities. Gertik's restrained colour palette and scientific precision create a distinctly elegant addition to period interiors and modern spaces alike.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
