The Ben-Hur vintage theatre poster print brings a piece of early stage history to your wall. Announcing Klaw & Erlanger's stupendous production of General Lew Wallace's Ben-Hur, dramatised by Wm. Young, the design promotes a run at the Illinois Theatre in Chicago, commencing 2 September, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday.

At its heart is a shaped cartouche with bold, chunky lettering in deep blue and burnt orange, set against a soft sage-green background. Around the title, a richly decorated border gathers Roman imagery: a laurel wreath and SPQR standard, a sailing galley with striped sails, palm fronds, blooming roses, a radiant star, and a heap of arms and trophies. The flat, decorative colour and flowing ornament give it the unmistakable charm of turn-of-the-century poster design, while the warm, earthy palette feels as inviting today as it did over a century ago.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
