Hasui Kawase's Full Moon at Gamo is a masterclass in restraint. This woodblock print captures moonlight spilling across water with the kind of calm efficiency that makes you wonder why anyone needs to say anything else about it. The composition is all gentle gradients and negative space—the sort of thing that rewards quiet contemplation without demanding it.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, which means the subtle tonal shifts Kawase intended actually survive the decades. Available in seven sizes from A4 right up to 70x100cm, there's a scale that suits every room. Unframed prints arrive rolled in a protective tube, or choose from black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate frames—we'll have yours glazed and ready to hang.

Whether you're drawn to bedroom wall art that doesn't shout, minimal aesthetics, or simply want something that won't fight with the rest of your décor, this one works. It's equally at home above a dining table, in a kitchen where you actually want to look at what's on the walls, or any space where a single moment of stillness feels like exactly what was missing.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
