This Japanese woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai brings a refined elegance to any room. Gogatsu no bu—May, in the series of twelve months—captures Hokusai's signature balance of fine detail and restrained composition, making it equally at home in a bedroom or above a dining table. The matte finish on our 230gsm fine art paper lets the subtle gradations breathe without glare, just as the artist intended.

Hokusai's work deserves better than a rushed reproduction. We print using archival pigment inks on professional-grade stock, so the soft tones and delicate linework will hold steady for decades. Whether you're drawn to traditional Japanese prints or prefer minimal wall art with real substance, this one delivers both. Available unframed or fitted into your choice of solid wood frame—black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate—ready to hang.

We've been shipping art from Newcastle for over a decade, and every bedroom print rolls carefully into a protective tube for its journey. Free UK delivery on orders over £60. This is the sort of print that rewards a close look: soft, composed, and unmistakably Hokusai.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
