This oil well fire print captures James Hamilton at his most theatrical—nineteenth-century Pennsylvania industry transformed into something raw and urgent, with flames that seem to flicker even on paper. It's the kind of artwork that works harder than most: equally commanding above a bedroom headboard, dramatic in a kitchen, or unexpectedly captivating in your bathroom wall art collection.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the detail and brooding colour palette stay vivid for decades. Seven sizes run from A4 through to 70×100cm, and you can have it unframed or mounted in black, white, natural oak or gold ornate finishes—all glazed and ready to hang.

It dispatches from our Newcastle workshop rolled in a protective tube, arriving safely at your door. If you're drawn to this piece, you'll find more work from the same era in our collection of celebrated historical art prints. This one refuses to blend into the background—it's industrial romance with an edge of genuine menace.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
