This altered art portrait sits at the sweet spot between controlled portraiture and beautiful chaos—paint smudges create expressive character that traditional prints can't touch. It's a clearance print, which means it's either a test run, sample, or happy accident from our Newcastle studio, but we've only released it because it genuinely deserves wall space. The 40x50cm size works perfectly solo or as part of a carefully curated gallery wall display.

Printed on 230gsm fine art paper with archival pigment inks, the colours won't fade for decades. You might spot the occasional subtle imperfection—that's clearance stock for you—but nothing that detracts from the raw energy of the piece. The 40x50cm dimensions sit comfortably between standard frame sizes, giving you genuine flexibility.

Frame it in black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate finishes and it arrives ready to hang. Unframed is equally at home if you prefer a looser, more contemporary feel. Either way, this portrait's gestural smudges create a moody intensity that settles into a room rather than shouting for attention.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
