The Self-Portrait in a Toon Top print brings a celebrated Van Gogh self portrait into your home as a striking piece of wall art. A bearded figure in a black-and-white striped top gazes out from a swirling blue background, holding a palette and brushes in one hand. It is a bold, instantly recognisable image from the world of Post-Impressionist painting.

What makes this artwork so compelling is the brushwork. Short, energetic strokes of cobalt and ultramarine ripple behind the sitter, while the face is modelled in greens, yellows and warm ochres, with a fiery orange-red beard that glows against the cool background. The crisp stripes of the top add rhythm and contrast, and the lace-up collar draws the eye towards the intense, searching expression. Look closely and you can almost feel the thick, textured paint. Ink & Drop's Self-Portrait in a Toon Top print captures all of that vibrancy on fine-art matte paper.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
