This 1975 map of Scotland is a Bartholomew Clan illustration that marries cartography with heraldry in one striking composition. Centred on a meticulously drawn map of the country, it's ringed by 170 coats of arms, badges, and mottoes representing Scotland's most storied families. The original artwork by Don Pottinger captures both the geographical and cultural landscape with remarkable precision, making it as scholarly as it is deeply personal.

We've reproduced it using professional giclée printing on 230gsm fine art paper with archival pigment inks, so the colours stay vibrant and the intricate detail remains sharp for decades. It's available in sizes from A4 right through to 70x100cm, and you can pair it with frames in black, white, natural oak or gold ornate finishes if you'd like it ready to hang straight away.

Whether displayed framed or unframed, this works beautifully as a conversation piece—ideal for anyone with Scottish roots, a fascination with heraldry, or a taste for vintage map prints. On a wall, it becomes a focal point that reveals something new with every closer look.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
