Ernst Haeckel's amphibian studies are a masterclass in scientific observation meets artistic precision. This frog illustration captures the intricate detail of his original work—every texture, every subtle variation in form rendered with the care that made his research foundational to modern biology. It's the kind of print that rewards close looking, whether you're a natural history enthusiast or simply drawn to Victorian scientific illustration and vintage animal art.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the colours stay true for decades. It comes in four sizes—A4, A3, A2, and A1—meaning you can hang it as a focused study or scale it up as a statement piece.

Add one of our solid wood frames (natural oak, black, white, or gold ornate) at checkout and it arrives glazed and ready to hang. This works beautifully as bedroom wall art, though it's equally at home in a kitchen, study, or living room where natural history and aesthetic detail matter. Dispatched from Newcastle, with free UK delivery over £60.

Haeckel's frogs possess a formal elegance that transforms any wall they grace—part museum specimen, part cabinet of curiosities.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
