This Hasui Kawase print captures one of shin-hanga's most serene moments—a snow-laden road dissolving into mist and geometry. Originally a woodblock masterpiece, the composition trades drama for atmosphere: stillness, restraint, and the kind of cool, contemplative mood that defined Kawase's approach to modern Japanese printmaking. We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the subtle gradations survive decades without fade.

Available in A4, A3, A2, and larger formats to suit your space. Hang it unframed for a minimal look, or choose from solid wood frames in black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate finishes—all glazed and ready to hang. The frame options let you shift the mood: natural oak keeps it warm and understated, whilst gold ornate adds a hint of gallery sophistication.

Perfect for bedroom wall art where you want calm over stimulation, or as part of a Japanese prints collection that rewards quiet contemplation. This one belongs in spaces where pause matters more than conversation.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
