Hasui Kawase's Kencho Temple is a masterclass in restraint. This woodblock print captures a quiet moment—mist clinging to temple grounds, a figure crossing a bridge—with the kind of compositional grace that makes you slow down and look properly. It's the sort of work that rewards hanging space and repeated glances.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the subtle gradations of colour stay true for decades. Choose from seven sizes: A4, A3, A2, A1, 50x70cm, and our larger 70x100cm format. Each arrives rolled and ready, dispatched from Newcastle with free delivery on orders over £60.

Pair it with one of our solid wood frames—black, natural oak, white, or gold ornate—and it's ready to hang straight from the box. Whether it's the focal point in a bedroom, a meditation point in the kitchen, or part of a gallery wall in your living space, this print sits comfortably wherever Japanese aesthetics belong.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
