This rain-soaked scene by Hasui Kawase distils Japanese printmaking at its finest—muted tones, atmospheric depth, and a stillness that invites genuine contemplation. The composition works because it doesn't demand attention; it earns it, making it ideal for bedroom wall art where you need calm without emptiness, or dining and hallway spaces where people naturally pause.

We've reproduced the original using professional giclée printing on 230gsm fine art paper with archival pigment inks, so the subtlety and restraint of Hasui's work translates faithfully to your wall. Seven sizes are available—A4 through to 100x150cm—so you can match the scale to your space without compromise.

The print arrives rolled in a protective tube from our Newcastle studio. Add a frame if you wish: we stock solid wood in black, white, natural oak, and gold ornate finishes, all glazed and ready to hang. A single Hasui print or a curated collection of Japanese art prints transforms a room into something with genuine depth.

This particular work carries the weight of rain and silence—the kind of image that settles into a space rather than decorates it.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
