This striking study of a tiger at rest comes from Maruyama Ōkyo, one of Japan's most celebrated painters of the 18th century. The composition captures an animal caught between alertness and repose, rendered with the meticulous observation and delicate patterning that made Ōkyo's work so influential across East Asia.

We've restored the original artwork and reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks. The result is a print with genuine depth and texture—the kind that justifies wall space. Available in A4, A3, A2 and larger formats, so you can scale it to suit your room.

Whether displayed alone or as part of a gallery arrangement, it brings a contemplative elegance that vintage Japanese prints are known for. Unframed and ready to drop into one of our solid wood frames, or frame it yourself.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
