This riverside scene by Hasui Kawase captures that quiet moment when water reflects the last light of day. Minimal detail, maximum atmosphere—his woodblock print shows a gift for stillness that's held up remarkably well over the decades. We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the subdued palette stays true to the original for years to come.

Seven sizes mean you can slip it into a compact hallway or let it breathe across a bedroom wall art space. It arrives rolled in a protective tube, ready to frame or display as-is. If you'd like it glazed and mounted, our solid wood frames come in black, white, natural oak or gold ornate finishes, all ready to hang.

Part of a rich tradition of Japanese art prints that blend landscape and light, this work proves you don't need bright colours to make a room feel complete—just the right mood, held perfectly still.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
