Hasui Kawase's Spring Rain at Benkei Bridge captures a fleeting moment of atmospheric beauty—rain drifting softly over a traditional wooden bridge, rendered with that signature balance of detail and restraint that defined his influence on early 20th-century Japanese art. Each print is produced fresh to order on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the subtle gradations and mood of the original woodblock survive intact.

Seven sizes are available, from A4 up to a commanding 70x100cm, so you can suit it to a quiet hallway corner or make it the focal point of a larger space. Pair it with one of our solid wood frames—black, white, natural oak or gold ornate—or display it unframed for a cleaner aesthetic. It arrives rolled protectively and dispatched from our Newcastle workshop, with free UK delivery on orders over £60.

Browse our full collection of Japanese woodblock prints for more works from this era, or explore bedroom wall art if you're building a restful scheme. Hung alone or layered amongst other pieces, this print brings a contemplative, unhurried elegance that feels as relevant today as it did a century ago.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
