This Japanese art print captures the serene landscape work of Hasui Kawase, a master of the Shin-Hanga movement whose woodblock prints are celebrated for their ability to distil Japan's natural beauty into moments of quiet contemplation. From tranquil waterside scenes to snow-laden villages, Kawase's compositions balance meticulous detail with an almost minimalist restraint—a quality that translates beautifully to wall art.

Our reproduction is printed on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the muted tones and delicate gradations that define Kawase's aesthetic remain fade-resistant for decades. The matte finish ensures every nuance of the original woodblock technique is preserved without glare, whether you frame it or display it unframed.

Whether you're drawn to vintage travel posters with a Japanese sensibility or looking for something contemplative for your bedroom wall art, this print works equally well above a bedside table or in a kitchen that appreciates understated elegance. Available in A4, A3, A2, A1, and larger formats, it can be paired with one of our solid wood frames—black, natural oak, white, or gold—or left unframed for a gallery-style approach. This particular composition has the stillness of a Japanese winter morning.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
