Gallery Wall Art Prints
By adding artist posters and framed abstract art to your gallery wall you can make a big impact in a room with little effort. Typography, landscapes, and floral prints work beautifully alongside a range of abstract art, so try mixing up styles and frames.
Colour and Patterns
Abstract art gives us a sense of sharp, clear vision through abstract straight lines and defined shapes. Rectangles, triangles, pentagons, and octagons, for example, combine with contrasting colours and sharp edges to create simple, cutting-edge designs. These push your interiors to the limit. Add colour and you can create a strong impact by using the colour wheel to combine opposing colours in geometrical shapes. This technique is perfect for abstract art prints.
Minimalism Collection
Minimalism and abstraction are combined in this striking contrast by using only black and white or primary colours. The Dutch De Stijl movement is a prime example of Neoplasticism. Neoplasticists created simple visual compositions by reducing form and colour to their bare essentials, advocating pure abstraction and pure simplicity. This is commonly found in modern fine art prints.
History of the Abstract Art Print
An arrangement of shapes, colours, lines and forms that exist independently of visual references in the real world is known as abstract artwork. Western art was dependent on the perspective logic and an attempt to portray reality until the mid-19th century. After this time, art started to branch out in various ways, and non-European artwork was shown in different ways. At the end of the 19th century, many new artists sought to develop a new type of art that would reflect the revolutionary developments in technology, science, and philosophy. Because of this, abstract art became the mainstream style.
Wassily Kandinsky and other artists
Wassily Kandinsky is often regarded as the pioneer of European abstract art. Along with fellow artists Gabriele Münter, Franz Marc, and a few others, Kandinsky founded the avant-garde group Der Blaue Reiter, one of the two faces of German Expressionism. Their work was rich in texture and colour.
