This map print captures a moment when geography was still part art, part educated guess—Theodor de Bry's 1596 vision of America, complete with decorative flourishes and the kind of optimistic coastlines that make modern cartographers wince. It's the kind of image that sparks conversation, whether you're a history enthusiast or simply drawn to the aesthetic of old exploration narratives rendered in black and white.

We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the detail holds up for decades without fading. Pick your size from A4 right up to 70x100cm, depending on how much wall space you want this 16th-century curiosity to command.

Add one of our solid wood frames at checkout—black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate finishes, all glazed and ready to hang—or keep it unframed for a lighter look. Browse our wider collection of vintage map prints for more historical cartography, or pair this with other pieces in a gallery arrangement. We dispatch from Newcastle and it arrives rolled safely in a protective tube; free UK delivery on orders over £60. Hung alone, this print brings genuine cabinet-of-curiosities energy without requiring you to dust anything.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
