This tortoise illustration captures the gentle charm of Elena Pavlovna Gertik's work—the Russian artist whose delightful drawings graced twentieth-century children's books now feels equally at home in a modern nursery, kitchen or living room. Soft blues and warm earthy tones give the composition that distinctive vintage quality Gertik was known for, a timeless elegance that transcends its era.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the colours stay true for decades to come. The print arrives rolled in a protective tube, ready for you to frame or display as you prefer. Browse our full range of animal prints if you're building a collection of vintage-style wall art.

Available from A4 through to A1, it scales beautifully across wall sizes. Prefer it framed? Choose from solid wood finishes in black, white, natural oak or gold ornate—all glazed and ready to hang. The soft palette of these tortoises comes into its own whether displayed alone or as part of a gallery wall arrangement.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
