Canny and Aye Newcastle Prints

Newcastle upon Tyne has one of the most distinctive regional identities in Britain — a city defined by its people, its dialect, its extraordinary built heritage (the bridges, the Quayside, Grey Street), and a civic pride that is both genuine and warm. The Canny and Aye collection celebrates that identity.

What's in the Canny and Aye Collection

• Geordie phrase prints — the Geordie dialect has some of the most expressive and characterful phrases in British English. "Howay", "canny", "bairn", "gannen" — rendered in bold, considered typography.
• Newcastle landmark art — the Tyne Bridge, the Millennium Bridge, Grey Street, the Angel of the North, and other iconic North East landmarks.
• Local character prints — illustrations and typographic prints celebrating the specific character, history, and culture of Newcastle and the North East.

Newcastle and North East Identity

For Geordies living in Newcastle, these prints are a celebration of home. For Geordies who have moved away — to London, to other parts of Britain, to the world — they are a connection to where they came from. As gifts, they are among the most personal and thoughtful options for anyone with North East roots.

Sizes and Framing

Canny and Aye Newcastle prints are available in seven sizes from 21x30cm to 100x150cm, framed or unframed. All produced on 230gsm matte art paper with archival inks.
