Yoshida Hiroshi's Carp and Tortoises is a masterclass in restraint, capturing movement and stillness in a single frame. The composition draws your eye downward through water with an almost meditative quality, the carp and tortoises rendered with the precision you'd expect from one of Japan's finest woodblock print artists. It's the sort of image that rewards a second glance, whether you're drawn to vintage Japanese art prints or simply seeking something contemplative for your walls.

Printed on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks that resist fading for decades, this is a print built to last. The detail holds beautifully across every size—from A4 through to our largest 70x100cm format—so you can choose what works for your space without compromising on clarity or impact.

It fits naturally into a kitchen, dining room, or bedroom wall art collection, though its quiet contemplative mood suits any room where you want to pause and breathe. Add a frame in natural oak, black, white, or ornate gold, or display it unframed for a cleaner, more contemporary look. Free UK delivery on orders over £60 makes it straightforward to bring this slice of Japanese artistry home. The restrained palette and horizontal composition create an almost hypnotic sense of underwater calm.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
