Mushroom Prints

Mushrooms and fungi are among the most visually extraordinary subjects in botanical illustration — their forms range from the familiar (the red-spotted Amanita, the chanterelle, the oyster mushroom) to the genuinely alien (coral fungi, bird's nest fungi, the extraordinary variety of bracket fungi). Victorian mycological illustrators brought the same scientific precision to fungi that they brought to flowering plants, creating some of the most beautiful and strange works in natural history illustration.

Mushroom Print Styles

• Vintage mycological illustration — 19th century botanical illustration of fungi species in the natural history tradition. Richly detailed, scientifically accurate, and genuinely beautiful.
• Contemporary fungi art — modern interpretations of mushroom subjects in illustration, watercolour, and graphic design styles.
• Foraging and species guides — illustration in the field guide tradition, showing edible and poisonous species with identifying features.
• Bold graphic mushroom art — simplified, graphic mushroom forms for contemporary interiors.

The Mushroom Moment

Mushroom art has seen a significant cultural surge — partly driven by growing interest in foraging, mycology as a science, and the culinary profile of fungi. The visual appeal of mushrooms also translates into strong interior design use: their forms are distinct, their colour range is subtle (ochres, browns, creams, pinks, blues, and the extraordinary reds of poisonous Amanitas) and they sit beautifully in any room.

Sizes and Framing

Mushroom prints are available in seven sizes from 21x30cm to 100x150cm, framed or unframed. All produced on 230gsm matte art paper with archival inks.
