Sunset Prints

There is a reason the sunset is the most photographed natural event on earth: it combines extraordinary colour, transient beauty, and a quality of emotional resonance that is almost universally felt. Sunset prints bring that warmth and emotional charge to your walls permanently.

Styles of Sunset Prints

• Sunset photography — the real thing: golden hour captured by skilled photographers over landscapes, oceans, and cities. The best sunset photography has an emotional directness that no illustration can quite replicate.
• Painterly and impressionist sunset art — sunset captured in painterly, expressive styles that prioritise mood and colour over photographic precision. These have a timeless quality that suits traditional and contemporary interiors.
• Graphic and illustrative sunset art — sunsets rendered as bold, simplified graphic forms. These suit contemporary and minimalist interiors.
• Japanese woodblock sunset prints — the golden and amber skies of the Japanese woodblock print tradition, particularly the work of Hasui Kawase and Hiroshi Yoshida.

Sunset Art in Interior Design

Sunset prints bring warmth and positive emotional charge to any room. The amber, gold, and pink palette of sunset art complements almost every interior colour scheme and creates a sense of calm and optimism. They are particularly effective in bedrooms, where the warm colours and emotional resonance of a sunset print create a genuinely restful environment.

Sizes and Framing

Sunset prints are available in seven sizes from 21x30cm to 100x150cm, framed or unframed. All produced on 230gsm matte art paper with archival inks.
