This colourful world map by Pieter Goos captures the wonder of 17th-century cartography, complete with detailed illustrations adorning the hemispheres. Goos was one of Amsterdam's finest mapmakers, and his work for period atlases remains instantly recognisable—part historical artefact, part stunning visual composition. Whether you're drawn to vintage map prints for their aesthetic or their story, this is the kind of piece that rewards close inspection.

We print it on 230gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, so the colours stay true for decades. It's available in four sizes—from A4 right up to A1—and arrives rolled in a protective tube. If you'd like it framed, choose from solid wood in black, white, natural oak, or ornate gold, and it'll come glazed and ready to hang straight away.

Based in Newcastle, we've been selling world map prints and historical cartography art online for over ten years. Free delivery on orders over £60 across the UK. This particular map works brilliantly in studies, living rooms, or anywhere you want a conversational focal point that blends elegance with genuine historical charm.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
