American Christmas Gothic is a tongue-in-cheek festive art print that takes a stern, classic farmhouse portrait and gives it a thoroughly modern Christmas makeover. A solemn couple stand before a white Gothic-windowed house, but this time they are wearing paper cracker crowns, and the farmer's pitchfork has been wrapped in glittering silver tinsel.

What makes the design so memorable is the contrast. The composition is formal and deadpan: unsmiling faces, round wire-rimmed glasses, a cameo brooch, dark jacket and faded blue overalls. Then the party hats arrive. The muted palette of soft sky blue, warm cream, earthy brown and deep black lets the red and gold crowns and the sparkling tinsel pop, and the red gothic-style lettering of the caption, "Another Magical Family Christmas", completes the joke. It is the perfect nod to every family gathering where someone is a little less jolly than the rest.

This is funny Christmas wall art for anyone who loves a dry sense of humour at the holidays. It works beautifully in a hallway, living room, kitchen or dining room, and it makes a brilliant framed Christmas gift for family, whether that is parents, siblings, in-laws or the friend who always hosts. Choose a framed option and it arrives ready to hang, so the gift is ready to give and display as soon as it is unwrapped. As a festive parody art print, it also earns its place as a talking point year after year. Care is simple: keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and dust gently with a dry, soft cloth. It is also reviewed through Reviews.io.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
