This 18th-century world map captures the cartographic ambition and artistry of a bygone era, with hand-coloured regions and intricate detail that rewards close inspection. Bowles' design has a wanderlust quality that works beautifully in studies, libraries, or anywhere begging for historical character. The horizontal format makes it a natural statement piece, whether you're planning a solo wall moment or building a collection of vintage map prints.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée techniques and archival pigment inks, so the colours stay faithful for decades. Choose from A4 up to 70x100cm—there's a size for intimate corners and generous walls alike. It arrives rolled in a protective tube, dispatched from our Newcastle workshop with free UK delivery over £60.

Want it framed and ready to hang? We offer solid wood frames in black, white, natural oak and gold ornate finishes. Pair it with other historical and decorative maps to anchor a whole wall with a sense of discovery and place, or let this particular map sit alone as a portal to exploration and 18th-century precision.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
