This Japanese woodblock print by Hasui Kawase captures Nikko's Chuzenji Lake with the serene precision the artist was celebrated for. Kawase's landscapes distil the essence of Japan's natural beauty into compositions that feel both intimate and timeless—here, the Utagahama shoreline unfolds with gentle restraint, inviting quiet contemplation rather than demanding attention.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée technology and archival pigment inks, so the soft tones and subtle gradations hold their depth for decades without fading. The matte finish lets you lean close without glare, revealing the detail Kawase worked into every element.

It works as a standalone piece on any wall, or pair it with other vintage travel posters for a gallery feel. Whether you're furnishing a bedroom with calm wall art or a living space that rewards lingering, this print arrives rolled and ready to frame—or display unframed if minimalism is your preference. After over a decade selling art online from Newcastle, we've learned that the best prints are the ones you actually want to look at every day, and this one rewards that habit.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
