This 1856 map of North and South Wales by Sidney Hall is a beautifully detailed cartographic record with a soft colour palette and delicate hand-drawn quality that works equally well in period homes and contemporary spaces. There's something timeless about good mapmaking, and Hall's counties and boundaries capture that perfectly—it's the kind of piece that rewards closer inspection.

We've printed it onto 230gsm archival fine art paper using professional giclée techniques and fade-resistant pigment inks, so it'll hold its colour for decades. It arrives rolled in a protective tube, unframed unless you choose one of our solid wood frames at checkout (black, white, natural oak or gold ornate finishes, all glazed and ready to hang).

It works brilliantly in hallways, bedrooms and home office wall art where you want a conversation piece that doesn't shout. Pair it with other maps for a gallery wall, or frame it alone in a bedroom print arrangement and let the cartography speak for itself. UK delivery is free over £60.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
