This geological chart from James Reynolds' 1878 study of the Carboniferous Group transforms a historical scientific document into something genuinely engaging. The layered colour mapping reveals different strata with striking clarity, making it perfect whether you're a fossil enthusiast or simply drawn to the understated beauty of vintage geological illustration.

We've printed it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the colours stay true for decades. It arrives rolled in a protective tube from Newcastle, and you can add a solid wood frame—black, white, natural oak or gold ornate—at checkout to have it ready to hang immediately.

This works beautifully in a home office wall art setting, hallway or kitchen prints collection, especially if you're building a gallery wall around natural history and scientific curiosities. Available in six sizes from A4 up to 70x100cm, it sits comfortably whether you're framing a single statement piece or grouping it with other vintage maps and botanical studies.

There's something quietly authoritative about nineteenth-century geological diagrams—this one captures that scholarly precision without ever feeling heavy-handed.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
