The Angel of the North print reimagines one of Britain's best-loved landmarks in a bold, swirling post-impressionist style. Vast rust-coloured wings stretch across a night sky alive with thick, rhythmic brushstrokes, glowing stars and a luminous golden crescent moon, all in portrait format for a striking vertical statement.

What makes this design special is the contrast between a modern steel sculpture and the expressive, painterly energy of a classic night-sky masterpiece. The deep cobalt and ultramarine heavens spiral above a rolling green hill, while tiny figures at the foot of the statue give a real sense of scale. Autumn trees in burnt orange and ochre frame the scene, and the textured, impasto-style strokes make every area of the image feel in motion. It is a joyful meeting of northern pride and Starry Night style wall art.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
