This Hasui Kawase print captures the quiet drama of dawn breaking over Japanese waters. The composition is characteristically restrained—a few boats, a stretch of shoreline, and that particular quality of light that only exists in the first hours of daylight. It's the kind of piece that rewards a lingering glance, whether you're waking up to it or pausing mid-morning.

We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the subtle gradations of colour and tone stay true to the original. Available in A4, A3, A2, A1, 50x70cm and 70x100cm, it scales beautifully across any wall. Each print arrives rolled in a protective tube, dispatched from Newcastle, ready to frame or display as you wish.

Pair it with our solid wood frames—black, white, natural oak or gold ornate—for a gallery-ready piece that needs nothing more than hanging. Browse more traditional Japanese art prints or explore our selection of bedroom wall art prints to find your perfect complement. This one settles into bedrooms, kitchens and living spaces with equal ease, bringing an unhurried, contemplative mood that lingers long after the first light has passed.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
