This shrine art print by Hasui Kawase captures the quietude of Kasuga Shrine in Nara—a serene woodblock composition that balances delicate architectural detail with expansive, contemplative space. It's the kind of work that rewards a slow look from across a room, drawing you deeper into its layered perspective and soft Japanese aesthetic.

We've reproduced it on 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée printing and archival pigment inks, so the subtle tones and soft lines stay faithful for decades. Seven sizes are available: A4, A3, A2, A1, plus 50x70cm, 70x100cm, and an oversized 100x150cm option. Pick whichever fits your wall and your mood. It arrives rolled in a protective tube, dispatched from our Newcastle studio.

Want it framed? We offer solid wood frames in black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate finishes—all glazed and ready to hang. Browse our full range of traditional Japanese prints, or if you're furnishing a quieter space, our bedroom wall art collection has more work in this contemplative vein. This print settles into a bedroom, hallway, or dining space with the kind of understated calm that only Japanese art seems to manage.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
