This vintage poster from Queen City Printing Inks showcases the distinctive hand-drawn style of Augustus Jansson, an illustrator whose work became synonymous with bold, early twentieth-century design. The Yellow Man print captures the era's confident use of colour to celebrate ink quality itself—a clever bit of self-promotion that's aged beautifully into genuine art.

Originally created as promotional material dating back to 1863, these posters represent a moment when commercial design and fine art weren't yet separate disciplines. Jansson's stylised figures and vibrant palette have lost none of their charm, and they work brilliantly as modern living room wall art that sparks conversation.

Available in five sizes from A4 up to 70×100cm, printed on archival-quality 230gsm fine art paper using professional giclée techniques and fade-resistant pigment inks. Explore the full range of Queen City Printing Inks posters to complete a gallery wall, or pair with our solid wood frames in black, white, oak or gold finishes. Dispatched from Newcastle, UK, with free delivery over £60.

There's something distinctly satisfying about hanging a poster that originally existed to sell ink—now it just sells itself.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
