Hasui Kawase's snow-dusted temple is the kind of print that makes you pause. This 1950s woodblock scene captures Kiyomizu Hall in Ueno with a quietness that feels almost meditative—delicate brushwork, soft greys and whites, the kind of composition that rewards a proper look. It's the antidote to loud walls.

We've reproduced it using professional giclée printing on 230gsm fine art paper with archival pigment inks, so the subtle details hold up over decades. Pick from seven sizes: A4, A3, A2, A1, 50x70cm, 70x100cm, or 100x150cm. The print arrives rolled in a protective tube and ready to display unframed, or pair it with one of our solid wood frames—black, white, natural oak, or gold ornate—if you'd prefer something finished and wall-ready.

Kawase's work suits minimal, understated spaces particularly well, though this one sits equally at home in a bedroom or hallway where you want to create a moment of calm. Framed above a sideboard or alone on a feature wall, it brings genuine warmth without trying.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
