The "Christmas Night Out" print is a playful, festive twist on the classic post-impressionist portrait. A red-bearded painter in a blue smock sits against a swirling, wind-blown blue background, wearing a crumpled red paper cracker crown, with a freshly poured pint of golden ale and a half-eaten mince pie on the table in front of him.

What makes this design special is the contrast between the serious, intense stare and the gloriously silly party details. Thick, energetic brushstrokes ripple through the deep blues of the backdrop and jacket, while warm oranges and ambers glow in the beer, the beard and the pastry crust. The palette sits in the familiar post-impressionist register of cobalt, turquoise and ochre, and the little star-topped mince pie and palette with brushes in hand add storytelling details that reward a closer look. It is a portrait that feels equal parts gallery wall and office Christmas party.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
