The "Starry Neet Over Grey's Monument" print reimagines one of Newcastle's best-loved landmarks beneath a swirling, star-filled sky. Painted in thick, expressive brushstrokes in the spirit of Van Gogh's famous night scene, it turns the tall column of Grey's Monument into a glowing centrepiece, and makes a striking van gogh starry night newcastle print for any wall.

Look closely and the texture takes over. Rolling spirals of cobalt and ultramarine blue churn across the sky, punctuated by luminous yellow stars and a golden crescent moon. Below, the honey-toned stonework of the monument and the surrounding Georgian-style buildings glow warmly, with lit shop windows and tiny figures crossing the wet, reflective pavement. The contrast between the cool, restless heavens and the cosy, lamplit city gives the design its mood: dreamy, nostalgic and full of movement. The playful "Neet" in the title is a friendly nod to Geordie dialect, adding local charm to a world-famous style.

This portrait-format piece is ideal for Geordies, Newcastle University alumni, and anyone who loves Van Gogh's colour and energy. It works beautifully as Grey's Monument wall art in a living room, hallway, home office or bedroom, where the deep blues bring depth and the golden highlights add warmth. As a Newcastle gift for art lovers, it's a thoughtful choice for birthdays, housewarmings, leaving presents or anniversaries. Choose a framed option and it arrives ready to hang, so there's nothing left to do but pick the spot. It also makes a lovely framed Newcastle landmark print for anyone who has moved away and misses the city, and the swirling night sky poster style suits both modern and traditional interiors. To keep it looking its best, hang it out of prolonged direct sunlight and dust gently with a dry, soft cloth.
