The Yorkshire State of Mind print is an altered art piece that takes a classic oil-style portrait and gives it a cheeky, modern twist. A gentleman in a scarlet military coat with navy facings and a powdered wig stands in a woodland setting, while bold white spray-paint lettering declares "Yorkshire State of Mind" right across the canvas.

The magic of Yorkshire State of Mind lies in the contrast. The formal, traditional composition, with its rich reds, deep forest greens and warm golden sky, collides with dripping, hand-sprayed graffiti text. The result feels part gallery, part street art, and wholly full of personality. The glowing white lettering pops against the dark foliage and the vivid red coat, so the message lands from across the room while the painterly detail rewards a closer look. It is a witty nod to Yorkshire pride, delivered with a straight face.

This altered art portrait print suits anyone who wears their Yorkshire heritage with pride, whether you are a proud local, an exile living further south or simply someone who loves a bit of humour on the wall. It works brilliantly in a living room, hallway, home office or snug, and the Gold Ornate or Black Ornate frames lean into the traditional portrait look. As a funny Yorkshire gift for birthdays, housewarmings or a friend who has moved away from God's Own Country, a framed Yorkshire State of Mind print arrives ready to hang. If you enjoy graffiti wall art with a classical edge, it is a conversation starter.

When you order a frame from us, it is professionally framed in our workshop and will arrive ready to hang on your wall. The frame itself is a minimal, square black frame, 20mm wide to suit any interior style. There is a visible wood grain as they are made from real wood. This makes them much stronger and resistant to warping like cheaper, MDF frames tend to.
